about

"I will never run a record label!" This was a mantra for Marcus Worgull for many years.
But things change, when friends trust you with their music that excites and inspires you so much, that you simply have to release it yourself.
Cue Chorus. A home of many voices, Chorus is a place for records Marcus has been playing but have yet to find homes. Tracks made by closest friends and peers in the trade who trust Marcus's ear and selection early in the creative process. Friends like Frank Wiedemann. One half of the mighty Amé, he's given Marcus two incredible tracks for a label launch release.
'Granville' is a Wiedemann special; eight minutes of total abandonment that travels through deep synths and an acid-lashed breakdown, it's an emotional hurricane of a cut that floors you with every 32 bar twist. 'Themroc' is similarly spirited in its emotional flexibility. But this time with pitched vocals bending and mutating around the powerful dubby groove, rising and rising to an evocative, spiralling crescendo. Loaded with a stripped back dub mix for extra creativity, it seals the deal on a very promising new label. A label Marcus never thought he'd ever run.
